How we help

Plantar Fasciitis

One of the most common foot problems is plantar fasciitis, or heel spur syndrome.  This usually responds to conservative care, but Dr. Southerland offers advanced options if it does not.  These include shockwave therapy, Stem cell injections, as well as surgery.

Many people have bunions but all are not painful.  They only need to corrected surgically when the pain interferes with ones work, shoes, or activities.  There are many procedures for correcting bunions.  Come in and see which one is right for you.

Flat feet

Flat feet are generally a hereditary foot structure. There are a lot of people running around with flat feet, and they don't have any problems.  But many do, even at a young age.  Flat feet can be surgically repaired but that is only necessary in painful cases and extreme deformities.

CT Scans

At Arlington Foot & Ankle Center, we offer weight bearing CT's in the office.  We are Medicare certified and call check to see if your insurance will cover it as well.

Regenerative Medicine

Dr. Southerland offers Stem cell options for your foot and ankle problems. Whether it is plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, or arthritis, he can help.

Ingrown Nails

It's not always your fault.  Some people, in spite of doing everything right, still get ingrown nails.  Call if you suffer from these.  There are permanent solutions.

Orthotics and Inserts

We offer both custom orthotics as well as prefabricated inserts.  Dr. Southerland endorses the Control360 line of inserts.
